This is it, this is me and this is, essentially, the inside of my head. Ever since I can remember, I have had a fascination for language. Words, sentences, grammar – any language will do, but English in particular. Very cleverly then, the powers that be conspired with the universe so that I managed to fall into the world of TEFL teaching, and before I knew it, I was in love.
Since 2003 I have been travelling the world, teaching, learning and generally being that annoying person that points out spelling mistakes. I have delved into the world of materials writing, written a coursebook and so decided I should probably join the 21st century and write a blog.
So this is what this is. A trip down memory lane, a reconstruction of my time spent in classrooms in Thailand, China, England, Spain and South Africa. While now I am based in Cape Town, I am trying to tame my itchy feet by experiencing my journey all over again.
